Cubmaster Bob wrote up a welcome letter for everyone. Go check it out and make sure you say hi when you see him at our first Pack meeting - September 19th in the Live Oaks School multi-purpose room.

We all look forward to seeing you there!

Cubmaster 2008Hello and welcome to Pack 196!

My name is Robert Benoit, and I'm the Cubmaster for Pack 196. I would like to welcome everyone who is visiting our website!

Our sponsor is the American Legion, Post 196, and we hold our pack meetings at Live Oaks School, generally on the third Friday of every month - from September to March.

This is my third year with Pack 196. My first year, I was the Tiger den leader. The next year I continued as den leader for the Wolf den, and I was also the Assistant Cubmaster. This year, I will be the Bear den leader and the Cubmaster! I am looking forward to being the Cubmaster for the next three years.

A few events our pack participates in (and to looks forward to) are:

    • Raingutter Regatta - a boat race where the boys make their own boats from a block of wood.
    • Pinewood Derby!! We have our very own track this year to have our races on!
    • Local Heroes Night
    • Halloween and Christmas parties
    • Famoree - family camping weekend!

I have also started some new events with our pack that I am hoping will become traditions for years to come:

    • Beach Cleanup/Picnic at the American Legion (our sponsor)
    • Bluefish Baseball game - a great summer outing for the family!
    • Food Drive with the Wepawaug Valley Scouts

I'm looking forward to a great year with Pack 196! We have a great group and the boys always have fun.

If you would like more information on our pack, or are interested in joining, please email us at pack196@optonline.net or call me at 203-783-0230.

    Do Your Best!
